I visited the GulfQuest National Maritime Museum of the Gulf of Mexico in Mobile a few days ago and found this very interesting! We had our own mail-order brides along the coast here! I thought about doing a book series about them, but it's way earlier than the 1800s and would take tons of research to get it right. So I think I'll just stick with the 1800s for now 😊
